Information on Georges St. Pierre?

Okay, so last year I went to my Godfather's son's wedding, and we were sitting at this same table as a couple who the guy, who said he was from Toronto at the time, was a UFC fighter. And I don't exactly know his name but his fiance or girlfriend, I'm not quite sure, was attending a college in Ohio. They were in a long distance relationship. I don't remember names unfortunately but I hope this is enough. I do remember though that it was an unusual name. Help me out ?
