Why would a Dr. induce so early?

I dunno why your friends doc would induce but there should be a good reason why. At my 35 weeks and 4 day appointment, my doc told me the sooner I go into labor, the better, so this friday I am hoping he will tell me that at 37 weeks I can go because I am in SO much pain. My back is KILLING to the point were I can't even walk anymore. So for me, he would be putting me out of my misery, lol. I honestl dont think I can make it another 3 weeks and my doc agrees. If you friend is that freaked out she should ask her doctor to explain to her the reason behind him/her wanting to induce so early.
